Two years ago murmur set out with a mission to make their mark on the underground house and techno landscape. Along the way they guided the journeys of a bright array of artists, heralding early releases from Nick Curly, MIc Newman, Nima Gorji, Bearweasel, Tom Demac, Craig Torrance and labelhead Geddes, and have forged their own unique musical stamp.

Happy with that achievement they are now expanding and launching a new arm - murmur-? - creating a concept not to direct from but to compliment its forebearer.

murmur-? is a chance to encounter a new shade of music, not just about floorfillers, but exploring music with soul, music with a different tempo and style, often still material you could play in a club but that can also be played and enjoyed anywhere.

"I wanted to start the murmur? label to release music you wouldn't associate with the main label, so this is a chance to open up doors and explore new avenues. I called it murmur-? because I don't think it needs a name. The aim is to cut through the usual rubbish and let the music will speak for itself." Geddes, January 2010.

The sister to murmur will focus on simplicity, always found in a paper sleeve with evolving artwork, it will find its way into fewer hands with more limited approach. The first release is from Lewie Day, entitled 'That's The Thing' and packaged with a Lee Curtiss remix.

Forthcoming releases include remixes from the back catalogue, first being Geddes favourite from the pot - Tom Demac's 'Crewcuts & Curls' remixed by Jamie Jones, Wolf + Lamb & Luke Solomon.
